Anthony Brown was born in Liverpool on New Year’s Day 1961. Following his initial art school education, his training as a graphic designer and illustrator led him through a large variety of opportunities including his work as an exhibiting artist and his hand-in-hand experiences as a composing, performing and recording musician.

His work is on display from Liverpool to New York (his clients include Bloomingdales of New York). He is a member of the Association Of Illustrators.

His work moves freely between contemporary (specialising in portraiture) and abstract art in any medium - to graphic design photography and illustration - creating company identities and involvement within the book and magazine publishing industry.

Over the past 18 months he has :-

• Been awarded 'Artist In Residence' at the Royal Court Theatre, Liverpool.
• Commissioned to produce a series of graphic designs for clothing for Bloomingdales, in New York.
• Produced a full range of merchandise for The Beatles Story, Liverpool. (He has been producing designs and artwork for the company since 1998)
• Been commissioned by Trinity Newsgroup Ltd to produce a series of abstract works for their office suites.
• Been awarded 'Artist in Residence' at St. Anthony's Church, Scotland Road, Liverpool.
• Designed the identity for companies such as Cre8, The Fingerprints Of ELVIS, The Yellow Duckmarine, Interior Contracts, Civitas and many others.
• Been commissioned to paint a series of portraits including the great Ken Dodd.

He works from a studio on Duke Street in Liverpool’s city centre, which is an informal, ever changing gallery, showing his works. Original works and a large collection of limited edition prints are on display and most of these are for sale.
